IT Consultant Graduate Teaching Fellow, CASIT at University of Oregon, Eugene, OR Sept 2009 - June 2010
- Provide reliable computer support and excellent customer service to faculty, GTFs and staff. Duties include creating and deploying operating system images for labs, setting up new workstations/printers, installing and teaching new software and general trouble shooting of software and hardware.
- Completed various long term projects. One of the projects included setting up a server and deploying an open-source application called Webwork. This project required knowledge of Linux, Apache and MySQL to setup the server and install the application. Another project involved testing multi-core machines using software applications and large data sets. This project required knowledge of Matlab and Stata. I worked on a team with other consultants, system administrators and faculty members to finish this project.
- Documented workflow processes, including trouble-shooting guidelines for software and hardware, manuals for installation and setup of new software, and manuals for projects.
Research Assistant, CIS at University of Oregon, Eugene, OR June 2009 - Sept 2009
- Web based GUI development to model a workflow language. This work focused on using JavaScript, CSS and PHP to create the GUI. Researchers use the GUI to write programs and the code is automatically generated and executed on the server. This work required knowledge of web based languages and Haskell, which the workflow interpreter was written in.
- Tool development for the Department of Energy Common Component Architecture project. This work focused on converting an existing Python prototype for using static source analysis to drive code generation tools for binding existing libraries and applications to a standardized language interoperability layer. This work required knowledge of both Python and OCaml and was performed in a team environment with other students and faculty members.
Lab Consultant, SSIL at University of Oregon, Eugene, OR Sept 2006 - June 2009
- Consulted instructors and students about hardware and software. Proctored distance education exams. Preformed troubleshooting for various programs, such as ArcGIS, Adobe Creative Suite 3, STATA, SPSS, E-Views and MS Office. Created online troubleshooting guidelines for the same programs.

- Designed a web application for employees to submit their work logs. The application was developed using Java Studio Creator and needed the knowledge of Java, JSP, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, CSS. This work was performed with the guidance of senior programmers.
